Onyx wireless athletic bralette (PDF)

 

Featuring: Very fitted medium impact athletic bralette with a regular, lower or deep neckline. Designed as a pull on bralette. Non adjustable straps. Bralette is fully lined and reversible. The seams are stabilized with 7 mm / 1/4 in clear or knitted elastic around the neckline, armholes and back. Finished with a bottom band stabilized with 3.2-5 cm / 1 1/4-2  in wide elastic. Back comes with a Full back, Racerback or a H-back designs.

Options for the back: Full Back / Racerback / H-back

Options for bust (cup volume):
* Regular bust (under 3.5 in upper bust/full bust difference) 
* Full bust (3.5-6 in upper bust/full bust difference)
* Fuller bust (over 6 in upper bust/full bust difference)

The pattern offers the following options:

View A - A full back bralette with a regular, low or deep neckline
View B - A racerback bralette with a regular, low or deep neckline
View C - An H-back bralette with a regular, low or deep neckline

Techniques to master: serging, topstitching, attaching elastic, multiple burrito rolls. This pattern is designed to get professionally looking garment using a standard sewing machine.

The pdf pattern comes in REGULAR, PETITE and TALL with sizes from XXS to 4XL in Regular, Full and Fuller bust options

DIFFICULTY

The pdf pattern is a beginner (3/10)  level and moderately easy to sew.
First bralette might take 3-4 hours. Once you are familiar with construction process it might take 2-3 hours to complete.

FABRIC

Medium to heavy weight, knit fabrics with excellent recovery and with at least 30-50% horizontal and 30-50% vertical stretch like performance/athletic/swim fabrics, performance Cotton Lycra/Spandex, Scuba. For the lining use the same fabric or power mesh/net, poly/nylon knit fabrics. You can find a detailed guide on how to choose a right fabric in the tutorial. Depending on your fabric choice you will get different support level for your bust.

NOTIONS

1. Clear or knitted elastic 5-6 mm / 1/4 in wide - 4-5 m/ 5-6 yards
2. Soft 32 to 50 mm / 1 1/4 - 2 in wide elastic for bottom band - equal to your underbust measurement plus 50 mm / 2 in
3. Polyester / Cotton threads 

4. (optional) Matching overlocker threads, preferably wooly nylon stretch overlocking thread
