Solberry knit shorts for children (PDF)

Featuring:

Semi relaxed fit shorts designed for knit fabrics offered in shorts and Bermuda length. Has optional front pockets, colorblocked back pockets. Can be hemmed or finished with decorative hems (one layer cuffs). The waistband is finished with threaded elastic and functional/decorative drawstrings.  

The pattern offers the following options:

View A - Bermuda length shorts with pockets and regular hems

View B - Bermuda length shorts with front and back pockets and cuffed hems

View C - shorts with regular or cuffed hems

This pdf pattern is drafted for 2 body types - Regular and Slim. Please note, that Regular and Slim sizing charts refer to the body type (vertical to horizontal measurements proportions) and not to the fit of the garment.

DIFFICULTY

The pdf pattern is a beginner (2/10)  level and moderately easy to sew.
Takes 1-3 hours to finish (time may vary depending on your skills, equipment and supplies).

FABRIC

Light to medium weight, knit fabrics with at least 20-30% horizontal and 10-20% vertical stretch like Cotton Lycra/Spandex, French Terry with Spandex/Elastane, light weight double knits, Interlock, sweatshirt fabrics.

1. 25 mm / 1 in width (sizes D-J), 32 mm / 1 1/4 in width (sizes K-R) soft knitted elastic equal to the waist circumference.

4. (optional) Matching overlocker threads, preferably wooly nylon stretch overlocking thread
