Violet ruched front accent top, tunic and dress for knit fabrics (PDF)

 

Basic fit: Fitted at the shoulders, bust and waist, high waist dress with a ruched front accent designed for knit fabrics. The front part of the bodice is fully lined. Offered with short, elbow or long sleeves. Can be made as a sleeveless top with the armholes finished with bindings. Optional inseam side pockets. Comes as a peplum top or a knee, midi or maxi length dress. This pattern is compatible with Valley skirts add-on. 

The pattern offers the following options:

View A - a peplum top with long sleeves
\View B - a knee length dress with short sleeves
View C - a sleeveless dress with a midi/maxi length dress

SIZING

The pdf pattern comes in US0-US30 sizes in PETITE, REGULAR and TALL height range. 

 

DIFFICULTY

The pdf pattern is a beginner (3/10)  level and moderately easy to sew. 
Takes 3-4 hours to finish (time may vary depending on your skills, equipment and supplies).

FABRIC

Light weight wrinkle resistant and well draping knit fabrics with at least 30% horizontal and 20% vertical stretch

Bodice main fabric:
US0-US30 0.6 m / 3/4 yards

Bodice lining (front only):
US0-US30 0.6 m / 3/4 yards

Sleeves
(depending on the size can be cut within the main fabric yardage or peplum/skirt yardage)

SHORT SLEEVE  0.4 m / 1/2 yard
ELBOW / 3/4 SLEEVE 0.6 m / 3/4 yard
LONG SLEEVE 0.8 m / 1 yard

For a sleeveless version 

5 cm / 2 in of lightweight knit fabrics with minimum 50% stretch like tricot, knit lining, lightweight performance, lightweight cotton Lycra/Spandex and similar fabrics.

Peplum/Skirt 

Top length - 0.8 m / 1 yard
Tunic length - 1 m / 1 1/8 yards
Knee length - 1.3 m / 1 1/2 yards
Midi length - 1.7 m / 2 yards
Maxi length - 2.2 m / 2 1/2 yards

NOTIONS

1. (Optional) 2 strips of knit fusible interfacing 25-30 cm x 1.5 cm / 10x 5/8 in for stabilizing pocket openings

2. Knit or clear elastic 4-7 mm / 1/8-1/4 in wide equal to your waist measurement + additional 30-35 cm / 12-15 in long for stabilizing front neckline 

3. Polyester / Cotton threads

4. (optional) Matching overlocker threads, preferably wooly nylon stretch overlocking thread
