Fiesta ruched bust knit top and dress (PDF)

Featuring:  

Fitted around the shoulders, bust and waist, finished with a half circle peplum or skirt, top and dress designed for knit fabrics. The bodice features a V neckline and a ruching at the center bust (lined), waistline seam slightly above the natural waist. Skirt/peplum has a soft fold at the center front. Offered with long, 3/4 and short sleeves, sleeveless or with flutter sleeves. Optional inseam pockets.

The pattern offers the following options:

View A - a sleeveless dress

View B - a dress with flutter sleeves

View C - a peplum top with long/3/4 or short sleeves

DIFFICULTY

The pdf pattern has a skilled beginner level (1-3/10) with easy to follow detailed tutorial.  Takes 1-2 hours to finish (time may vary depending on your skills, equipment and supplies).

Very light to light knit fabric with excellent recovery and at least 30-50% horizontal and vertical stretch. The best option would be knit lining or tricot fabric.

1. Ruched accent - 4-10 mm / 1/8-3/8 in wide 20 cm / 8 in long soft elastic band (knitted, braided or clear)

2. Shoulder seams stabilizer - twill cotton tape, clear elastic or selvages from woven fabrics - 15 cm / 6 inches

3. Front neckline stabilizer + pocket openings stabilizer - 2+2 strips x 30-40 cm / 13-15 in long of knit fusible interfacing (4 strips in total)

4. Waistline stabilizer - 4-10 mm / 1/8-3/8 in wide elastic equal to your size waist measurement plus 25 mm / 1 in.
