Mimosa lantern style knit dress with a cowl and pockets (PDF)

Featuring:  fitted around the shoulders, bust and semi fitted around the waist, dress with a 2(4) pieces lantern style skirt designed for knit fabrics.  Can be finished with above or below the knees skirt. Optional inseam or single welt pockets. Neckline comes in 3 options - an open crew neck / scoop neckline finished with a band or a cozy cowl. Can be made as a sleeveless dress (regular or for layering with a lower armhole) or with short, 3/4 or long sleeves.  Bottom hem can be hemmed or finished with a band.

The pattern offers the following options:

View A - a sleeveless dress with a cowl and welt pockets

View B - a short sleeves dress with a cowl and above the knee skirt finished with a band

View C - a long sleeves open crew neck / scoop neckline dress below the knee skirt

The pdf pattern comes in REGULAR, PETITE and TALL with sizes from US0-US30

PETITE 152-160 cm /5 1” - 5 3”
REGULAR 162-170 cm / 5 4” - 5 6”
TALL 170-178 cm / 5 7” - 5 9”

DIFFICULTY

The pdf pattern has a skilled beginner level (1-3/10) with easy to follow detailed tutorial.  Takes 1-2 hours to finish (time may vary depending on your skills, equipment and supplies). 

FABRIC

Light to medium weight knit fabric with 30-50% horizontal and 10-20% vertical stretch and medium to good recovery

US0-US10

1.3 m / 1 1 /2 yards - bodice and skirt (longest length)
For Sleeves (US0-US16), add:
Shorter Sleeves: 0.2 m / 1/4 yard
Short Sleeves: 0.26 m / 3/8 yard
3/4 Sleeves: 0.5 m / 5/8 yard
Long Sleeves: 0.7 m / 3/4 yard

US12-US22
2.5 m / 2 3/4 yards - bodice and skirt with sleeves or sleeveless (longest length)
The yardage includes long sleeves (see cutting layout on page 10)

For cowl version: add 0.45 cm / 1/2 yards for lining and main fabric

For crew/scoop neckline (if using ribbing or different fabrics):
The bands/bindings can be cut with the same yardage.
If using different fabrics for the bands/bindings: 
Main Fabric / Ribbing: 0.05 m / 2 inches

For Sleeveless:
The bindings can be cut with the same yardage.
